The Westwood High School Alumni Council (WHSAC) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization administered by a dedicated, enthusiastic and elected-volunteer based Executive Board.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to preserve the legacy of our alma mater, strengthen lifelong bonds among graduates, and create meaningful opportunities. Guided by the core values of Citizenship, Scholarship, and Engagement, we dedicate ourselves to supporting future generations of Redhawks, giving back to our community, and upholding the enduring excellence of Westwood High School.
What We Do?
We strive to provide an interconnected network of Redhawk Alumni and community members to strengthen their relations and pour back into our common ground, Westwood High School. Our central entity is the Westwood High School Alumni Scholarship, which aims to award graduating seniors with a financial scholarship to assist with their collegiate studies! As a new organization, we hope to cultivate many other programs and activities for all, so join now!

Membership
Who can join?
Membership is open to all Westwood High School graduates and anyone who supports the Alumni Council’s mission.
Membership Tiers:
General Member
Supporters who stay connected through events or donations.
- No voting rights or ability to hold office.
Active Committee Member
Members who additionally serve on committees and contribute to Council work.
- Full voting rights and can nominate or hold office.
Membership Dues:
A $30 annual fee is required for all members. This supports scholarships, community events, and operations.
- Additional donations are welcome but optional.
How to become an Active Member?
To become an Active Committee Member, a General Member must complete the official Membership Form, pay the required annual dues of $30 (subject to change with prior notice to members), and express interest in joining a committee. Final approval for Active Committee Membership is granted by a majority vote of the Executive Board.
Expectations for Active Committee Members:
- Attend meetings regularly
- Contribute actively
- Uphold the Council’s mission
Members who don’t meet expectations may be moved back to General Member status.
Voting & Leadership:
Only Active Committee Members can vote, nominate others, or serve in leadership roles.
